Dividend snowball

Reinvesting dividends so they buy shares that pay their own dividends. Each round of income is slightly larger than the last without you adding anything, which is why a dividend portfolio grows slowly for years and then quickly — the same reason a snowball rolling downhill picks up more snow the bigger it gets.
