Step 2 of 12
Portfolio and Radar
Two lists that look similar and do opposite jobs: what you own, and what you're waiting on.
Portfolio is what you actually hold. It drives every number in the app: your income, your yield, your projections. Radar is what you're watching but haven't bought — the same stock can sit in both if you want to add to it.
The point of Radar is the target price. Set the price you'd be happy to pay, and Quantic tells you when the market gets there instead of you checking. That target also feeds the buy plan, which ranks what looks most worth buying right now.
A stock on your Radar contributes nothing to your income or projections — those only count what you own. That's deliberate: a watchlist that inflated your forecast would be worse than useless.
Key terms
- Target price
- The price you'd be happy to buy a watched stock at. Quantic flags it on your radar when the market trades below it.
- Current yield
- A stock's annual dividend divided by today's share price — what a new buyer would earn right now.
